Daisen-In Temple

There were many amazing moments this year, on the very top, a moment at the Zen gardens in Kyoto, Daisen-In Temple, where I met Soen Ozeki, a famous Buddhist monk.

Among other sayings, he is famous for the:

"Each day in life is training
Training for myself
Though failure is possible
Living for each moment
Equal to anything
Ready for anything

I am alive
I am this moment
My future is here and now

For if I cannot endure today
When and where will I?"

            These lines were inscribed on a plaque at the edge of a garden in Japanese and English. I was very impressed and copied them. The world has not changed after reading these lines. But from that moment on, my perspective has changed, and with this, my world.
